The Notebook (2004)
The Notebook is an epic and sad love story about a couple who is separated by their social differences, and then reunited seven year later. The movie focuses on an old man who reads from a faded notebook to an old, invalid woman in nursing home. Her memory has faded, and his words relive again every day their unforgettable love story. In this wonderful and passionate movie based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, appears Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.
Titanic is one of the saddest movies in the history of modern cinema, and if you watch it and say you didn’t cry, you’re lying. The tragic love story of Rose (Kate Winslet) and Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio), a poor artist and a girl from the high society – leaves nobody indifferent. They meet and fall in love during the maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic (the ship of dreams). Rose who survived the sinking of the ship, is now an old woman who tells the story of this tragic night. This epic movie is directed by James Kameron.
The Green Mile (1999)
The Green Mile is adaption of the novel by Stephen King. This emotional movie tells a powerful story about the guards on Death Row – whose lives are affected by one of the prisoners, black man accused of rape and child murder. The acting is also perfect – Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan appears in this amazing and one of the saddest movies.
Ghost is another sad love story – part of every similar list of movies that will make you cry. With movie stars like Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze – this is the movie you can watch over and over again. The story focuses on Sam (Swayze)who is killed during a robbery, but remains on earth as a ghost to protect his loved one Molly (Moore).
Hachi: A Dog’s Tale (2009)
Hachi: A Dog’s Tale is a drama based on a true story from Japan and one of my favorite and saddest movies ever. This is an emotional story about the loyality of one dog. One day college professor Parker Wilson (Richard Gere) on his way home from work found an abandoned dog at the train station and he takes the puppy home. He names the dog Hachiko – Hachi who becomes real and faitfhul friend to Parker. Hachi is accompanying the professor every morning to the train station and wait for his returning every night. But an unforeseen event will test the devotion of Hachi. This wonderful and simple but powerfull movie – will move you to tears.
